South Bay Hiking Trails and Walking Paths:

  • George F. Canyon Nature Center and Trail is located at 27305 Palos Verdes Drive East in Rolling Hills Estates.  It is a 36-acre park owned by the city of Rolling Hills Estates with a nature trail which runs through the canyons of the Palos Verdes Peninsula.  Visitors can walk or ride horseback.
  • The Greenbelt-walking path between Valley Dr. and Ardmore Ave. in Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach.
  • Ken Malloy Harbor Regional Park is located at 25820 S. Vermont Ave. in Harbor City.  It has hiking trails and a jogging path.
  • Leland Park located at 1863 S. Herbert Ave. in San Pedro has hiking trails.
  • Madrona Marsh located at 3201 Plaza Del Amo in Torrance is a 10-acre vernal marsh.
  • Point Fermin Park at 807 Paseo Del Mar in San Pedro has two jogging trails which lead to the beach and tide pools below.
  • South Coast Botanic Garden located at 26300 Crenshaw Blvd. in Palos Verdes Peninsula is an 87-acre garden environment which, interestingly, used to be a landfill.  It is a beautiful place for a walk/hike, but there is an admission fee.
  • The Strand-walking path at Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach.  Nothing beats the magnificent coastline, the people-watching, and the beautiful homes.
  • Wilderness Park at 1102 Camino Real in Redondo Beach is an 11-acre site great for hiking and taking in a bit of nature.
